We had to get up at 3:30am to get to the Entebbe airport for our 7am flight to Kigali…that was tough! The flight to Kigali was only an hour, but we had a 5 hour layover before our flight to London Gatwick. We killed the time in Kigali at the coffee shop, and fortunately had some wifi connectivity.
The Rwandair flight from Kigali back to London was nice—again, pretty empty so we all got to spread out. This is a really nice flight, so I’d recommend it for any teams coming back—good service, nice planes, and, at least for now, not super crowded. Plus, it’s the least expensive way there.
Tim Hill again picked us up at the airport after a relatively short egress through immigrations. We dropped John and Sam off at the Willson’s where they are staying, and Tim took Brandon and I to their home in Claygate. I slept great in their very quiet guest room, and woke up at about 5:30 to a beautiful morning. We’re so grateful to have these friends here to host us so nicely!
We’ll probably go to Hampton Court—the summer palace of King Henry the 8th later this afternoon. Saturday is our day to be tourists in London, and Sunday will be full of activity at Refresh Church, the gathering place for the Hill’s.
