John Garrick combines decades of ministry experience with an unquenchable passion to see Christ transform an emerging generation.  Before founding Eternal Impact in 1997, John was a youth and family pastor for 7 years. He has spoken to thousands around the world as a catalyst of spiritual renewal. When you meet John you will see his passion for Christ and for others is contagious. His practical and biblical messages ignite the hearts of listeners to engage life with a new perspective.

John’s teaching and coaching are the primary expressions of our work. Through various venues, John acts as a conduit of encouragement to pastors and leaders while helping them navigate life and live with an intentional Gospel-centric purpose.

He comes alongside the church to develop new frameworks around discipleship and incarnational living—encouraging the church to be agents of change in their everyday lives, to live as a family on mission, and to create a new culture of living out the Gospel.

As the founder and lead catalyst, John is the visionary voice of Eternal Impact. His passion for people and for the Gospel can be seen in the DNA of our ministry.

When asked what he does for a living, John said, “I stumble my way around the world speaking and inspiring others to take a deeper look at Jesus Christ. And if I can do it while on my Harley Davidson… even better!”

John married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer. They live near Portland, Oregon and have two adult daughters and a teenage son. For the past 20 years, the Garricks have served together as missionaries and church planters/innovators through Eternal Impact.

“A servant’s heart and passionate teaching from the Word of God make John Garrick an effective evangelist and a valuable friend of our team.”

Luis Palau

“He’s a challenging guy to be around because he simply exudes the love of Jesus wherever he goes and challenges us to do more of the same. Frankly, I struggle to keep up!”

Live it out is not simply a catchy tagline, but an invitation to encounter Christ, to embrace the Gospel life, and to live on mission — a calling rooted in our passion and practice.  It is a guiding mantra that helps us form our culture and focus our vision.
