Elisha & Rebecca Kakwerere

Elisha & Rebecca Kakwerere bring to this season of life over 20 years of marriage, family, and ministry. More than 45 churches have been planted, dozens of ministry teams mobilized, and hundreds of servant leaders equipped and deployed for the work of the Gospel in Western Uganda and beyond.

The Kakwerere Family

In addition to serving as the pastors of Rukungiri Community Church and founders/President of Amaziba Ministries, they are raising 6 beautiful children to love God and love others. They have recently welcomed another young man into their home to help disciple him in the ways of Christ. Their Christ-like leadership and generosity are exhibited in the fruit of their ministry and in those they serve.

For over 20 years, Eternal Impact has been an active partner with Pastor Elisha, Amaziba Ministries, and Rukungiri Community Church. So many teams, festivals, youth events, missions, church plants, and ministry partnerships.

John Garrick, Eternal Impact President, recently said, “Working with the Kakwereres has been one of my ministry highlights, and I am privileged to have them as friends and humble ministry co-laborers. They represent the best of servant leadership and serve humbly on the front lines of the Kingdom. I cannot think of a better way to influence East Africa with the Gospel and to encourage its Christian leaders than to invest in Pastor Elisha's work. Empowering him as a husband, dad, and apostolic leader will extend our impact better than any other investment in the region. It is our honor to be a sponsoring agency and to help them raise sustaining support for this dynamic couple.”

Eternal Impact has committed to providing governance, partnership, and donation processing/receipting for the Kakwereres as they connect with loving partners who want to support them in raising monthly support and project funds for their house project.

Over the past year, tremendous progress has been made! The walls are plastered, the ceiling and flooring are in place, and electrical wiring, doors, and compound grading are nearly finished. The house looks beautiful—and it’s all because of your love, generosity, and partnership. We do not take it for granted!

It was our hope to have the Kakwerere’s move into their home in December of 2025. Unfortunately, due to underbudgeting, currency exchange rates, unforeseen taxes and fees, and additional labor and supplies than originally anticipated, project costs have increased. On May 20, 2025, we completed an audit of the project to determine exactly how much funding is needed to move them completely into the house. After careful scrutiny and a heart for generosity and stewardship, we have determined that the final cost to fully complete the project is $34,422.29 ($35K).

Would you prayerfully consider helping us cross the finish line?

Your gift—of any amount—will make a tremendous difference.

As of May 20, 2026, only $35K is needed to fully complete the Kakwerere’s Home Project.

Although monthly support is vital to sustain their ministry, so is a home of their own, which can help stabilize them for the years ahead.

We have joyfully raised over $110,000 toward this project, and we are in the final campaign to raise the remaining $35,000 by September 1, 2026, to complete this project for Pastor Elisha & Rebecca’s Home. For EVERY DOLLAR raised, it will go directly to this project, and we can see the Kakwerere family in their home this year!

Please join us in supporting this vital work!

PLEASE NOTE: If you would like a full accounting of the project budget and P&L, please email office@eternalimpact.org and our team will get you a spreadsheet.
