Our HiStory
Eternal Impact had its beginnings in 1997 when John and Jennifer Garrick took their musical album “The Message” on the road, visiting churches all over the Pacific Northwest. These concerts became more and more occasions for John to preach, and before long J&J Ministries was born. Over time, the opportunities to speak and minister expanded across the nation and internationally as John and Jennifer traveled with partner ministries like Luis Palau all over the globe. Soon it became clear that the ministry was more than just John and Jennifer—and J&J Ministries became Eternal Impact. LIVE IT OUT reflected the motto of the ministry—and that tag line is more relevant than ever today!
In November of 2023, John & Jennifer stepped down from their staff role with Eternal Impact. Although they still serve on the Board of Directors to help oversee the mission of EI, they now serve full-time with Standing Stone Ministry. They live in Sisters, Oregon and contintue to spread the “live it out DNA”, helping pastors and Christian leaders navigate life and ministry. It is thier ongoing passion and purpose that no leader walks alone as they serve on the front lines of the Kingdom of God.

our Board
Eternal Impact is governed by a small, volunteer board to help deploy the ministries of Apologetics on Mission, Amaziba, Live It Out Retreats, and the personal ministry support of Elisha & Rebecca Kakwerere in East Africa through 2024. Throughout the year, we will evaluate the need to expand the board for 2025 based on the current needs, ministry deployments and future expansion.

John is our founder and lead catalyst. As visionary for Eternal Impact, his main motivator is a huge heart for connecting people with Jesus.

Jennifer is passionate for families and worship. While music is her special gifting, her love of the outdoors also inspires her worship.

Kathy Mcneff
Kathy and Rod serve on our board. Kathy is our key overseas coordinator, working primarily with Amaziba, our Ugandan partner.

Rod serves on our board of directors, and has a heart for South America, especially Peru. He is studying Spanish to better equip him for this work.
