Summer is heating up here at Eternal Impact! See the latest of what's happening below:
Uganda COVID Lockdown Relief Update 
As you know from our earlier message, Uganda is in the grips of a severe COVID lockdown which commenced June 18th in response to a dramatic spike in COVID infection rates. Above is the latest, which thankfully shows a downward trend. We made an urgent appeal on behalf of our Amaziba partners to provide emergency funds for their communities who are suffering under the pandemic and the effects of the lockdown.

We are well on our way to surpassing our $7000 goal, thanks to a number of you who have given already. We have one organization who have committed to MATCHING EVERY DOLLAR UP TO $2000! Please pray about how you can give to support our brothers and sisters in lockdown: P.S. from Ben: I have rescheduled my trip to Uganda for Aug 7-24, and appreciate your prayers that the lockdown will be over by then.
Team G Fireworks
A supporting family of Eternal Impact heard of John and Jennifer’s desire to travel and see their daughter and son-in-law (Leslie and Solly Love) this year in New Zealand. Because of the pandemic, they have not seen them in two years. These financial supporters passed on their fireworks business to the Garrick’s to raise needed funds and additional resources for upcoming “New Day Initiatives” for Eternal Impact. A great location was secured at the Oregon City Grocery Outlet and the firework stand was launched. 
It has been very successful so far, but the current dry weather condition and ban on fireworks have threatened potential profit. It is our hope and prayer that those who enjoy fireworks will purchase them now and use them safely in jurisdictions that permit them or when the weather conditions improve. Either way, our trust is in the Lord that He will give favor and fruitfulness towards the Garrick‘s and our new ministry initiatives.
John often reminds us, “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.” - Proverbs 21:31
If you’re going to get fireworks this season and are in the OC area, please stop by and join the fun. It supports a great cause and “Team G.” would love to see you and give a hug to friends and extended ministry family.

A New Day for Eternal Impact 
The masks are coming off, hand sanitizer is discounted everywhere, we are having “non-Zoom meetings”, and the sun is even shining! These are all signs that we may be entering a “new day“ in the months ahead. I have no expectations that we will be back to “normal“, but I cherish seeing peoples faces and hearing their voices without the muffled filter of a face covering. Eternal Impact is also entering a NEW DAY. Over the next couple months, you will be hearing and seeing the details of what we are calling the “New Day” plan which includes some major pivots and transitions for Eternal Impact. They are exciting and we look forward to share them with you! This December, will mark 25 years since Jennifer and I launched Eternal Impact. As we look ahead, our passion for the Gospel of Christ and our focus to help others navigate life in the ways of Jesus has not changed. Our desire to encourage, inspire and restore Christian leaders to live out the gospel locally and globally continues to fuel our vision and planning. However, our form and function will adapt for a new day as we seek the Holy Spirit, pivot with new opportunities and deploy leaders and ministries to effectively live out the gospel!
Please join us now through prayer as we begin to share with friends like you of what a NEW DAY can look like for Eternal Impact and those we serve. Intercede & stay tuned! In the meantime, safely take off the mask, smile a lot, breathe the fresh summer air and share with others the unending hope that resides through Christ!
